Recycling in Dryden is changing again.
Director of Engineering Brad Johns says starting July 1st, people will not have to sort items for curbside pickup and more material will be accepted.
Box Board, metal containers, milk and juice cartons as well as most plastic bottles will all be accepted.
However, glass, hazardous waste containers and plastic bags are not part of the program.
Dryden’s Recycling Plant is set to shut down July 5th making way for a new Transfer facility down the road.
Once funding is approved, the $400,000 self-loading unit will eliminate ongoing labor and capital costs.
