The Canadian Red Cross is stepping in to help forest fire evacuees in Northwestern Ontario.
Officers are operating an evacuation centre in Thunder Bay to house residents from Deer Lake and Schriber.
And Canadian Red Cross Spokesperson Shana Hansson says the organization is on standby to help about 80-residents of Keewaywin, who are being housed at the Sioux Lookout Recreation Centre.
Hansson says fortunately staff just went through extensive training sessions for disaster response.
