Red Lake Gold Hotbed

The Red Lake District continues to be a hotbed of activity for junior mining companies exploring for gold.
Vancouver-based Masuparia Gold is the latest company to express interest in gold exploration in the area.
The company has entered into an agreement with Glenhaven Ventures to earn 51 percent interest in three gold properties in the Red Lake Birch Uchi greenstone belts.
Masuparia says over the last 100 years, this area has produced more than 20 million ounces of gold.
One of the properties is about six kilometres south of the Goldcorp and Campbell Mines.
