The MNR is taking a hard line on night hunting. A Red Lake man has been fined 45 hundred dollars for hunting moose at night. Conservation officers were patrolling a section of Highway 105 last December when they noticed truck with very bright lights, slowing down as it passed moose along side the road. The officers pulled over the vehicle and notice a high powered rifle on the seat beside the driver. Kenneth Burgess was found guilty of hunting at night and is banned from hunting for two years.
