A Red Lake man has been sentenced to 6 years in prison in relation to the beating death of a Thunder Bay man.
Court heard that Gilles Roberts went to a Thunder Bay home in December 2002 to buy beer, when he got into an argument and repeatedly struck the victim.
Justice Patrick Smith stated that Roberts has proven numerous times that he loses control when alcohol is involved and the public must be protected.
No word if Roberts will appeal the ruling.
