Red Lake Mayor Addresses Policing Costs

The cost of policing Red Lake is a major issue for Mayor Phil Vinet.
And it’s one of the topics that he brought up at the Good Roads Conference, which wraps up today in Toronto.
Vinet says he was able to meet with the Minister of Public Safety.
Vinet notes an appropriate solution would be if they could start moving towards provincial averaging.
He says it currently costs about $900 per household, which is way above the provincial average.
