Red Lake Mine Hits 5 Million Ounce Mark

Another historic mark for the richest Mine in the world as Goldcorp’s Red Lake facility has produced its 5 millionth ounce of gold.
The Mine started production in 1949 and due to recent redevelopment and new technology they managed to generate 1.85 million ounces in the last 4 years alone.
General Manager Claude Lemasson says they are now projecting to hit the 10 million mark in about 8 years time.
Meantime, work on the new Mine Shaft is on budget and should open on schedule next year.
