Red Lake OPP arrest suspect during drug bust

A 42-year-old Red Lake man has been arrested on drug trafficking charges.

Yesterday around 2 pm, the Red Lake OPP executed a search warrant on Prospect Street.

Police seized fentanyl, crack cocaine and MDMA as well as Canadian currency, a loaded crossbow, bear spray and other evidence of drug trafficking.

In addition to the drug trafficking charges, he’s been hit with a charge of possession of property obtained by crime under 5,000, three charges of possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order, and a two for possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

He appeared in court Friday for a bail hearing.
