Red Lake Racer Finishes 8th in Poland

Strong winds and rain didn’t make it easy for Red Lake’s Pete McLeod at the weekend Red Bull Air Race in Gdynia, Poland.
McLeod stumbled out of the gate as he was disqualified in his first training run but he was able to turn things around with a fast and flawless final qualification race.
He then advanced to the Super 8 where he was on course to set a track record.
However, a newly implemented rule on illegal vertical turns ruined any chance of victory and McLeod ended up 8th.
He slides down the season points standings to 5th and will race again on August 16th and 17th.
