30-years ago, a massive forest fire consumed the community.
Some 3,600 people were airlifted to Manitoba, while others were forced to stay on McKenzie Island for 10-days.
It resulted in the largest air-lift in Canadian history.
A Fire 14 exhibit is opening this weekend at the Heritage Centre and a 30th Anniversary dance and dinner is being held at the Red Lake Legion Saturday.
A Fire 14 book and video documentary will also be released to the public.
