The dry weather has resulted in 14-new forest fires in Northwestern Ontario the past 2-days.
A majority of the blazes sparked in the southern portion of the District, specifically in the Fort Frances area.
The largest fire is burning 15-kilometres northeast of Pikangikum.
The blaze has spread to 4,200 hectares in size and 14-fire ranger crews and 2-waterbombers are on scene.
The forest fire hazard remains high to extreme across the District.
