Red Lake Seeks Bylaw Feedback

The Northwestern Health Unit continues to turn up the heat on municipalities in the region to adopt its so-called gold standard smoke-free bylaw.
However, the Municipality of Red Lake is taking a wait and see approach.
Red Lake Council has already defeated the bylaw and is now in the process of gathering feedback from residents on what they would like to see happen next.
Mayor Dunc Wilson says council understands second hand smoke is a health hazard but it is examining alternatives to the gold standard bylaw which will suit residents and businesses.
