Red Lake Signature Event Cancelled for 2011

The 2011 Norseman Festival in Red Lake has been cancelled.
In a press release, the organizing committee says it has spent the last 9-months incorporating new ideas and 3 new venues into restructuring the Annual event.
Officials say last minute setbacks and scheduling conflicts have continued to develop and its no longer feasible to make the changes required to produce a successful event in a timely manner.
A limited number of volunteers is also a factor in the decision.
The Committee says it will continue to meet and it will be business as usual to revitalize the ‘Norseman Days’ for 2012.
Chair Ron Robinson says several organizations have already come forward to lend a helping hand.
The Norseman Festival has been Red Lake’s ‘Signature Event’ for 20-years.
