Caution is still urged with all outdoor fires.
A Restricted Fire Zone has been lifted but warm weather Thursday could result in new starts.
There were four new forest fires reported Wednesday, two in the Sioux Lookout district, one in the Red Lake area and another in Wabakimi Provincial Park.
There are 48 active blazes in the region, only one considered not under control.
The fire hazard remains low, with pockets of moderate, across northwestern Ontario.
