Regional Conference Gets Underway This Evening

Policitians and municipal leaders from across the region are in Thunder Bay today for the annual Northwestern Ontario Regional Conference.
Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association President Dave Canfield says some items that will top the agenda include energy, mines and forestry.
He says there will be a lot of the agencies such as FedNor, Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation, Confederation College and more.
In addition, Canfield says the Thunder Bay Generating Station will no doubt be a hot button issue.
The conference gets underway this evening and wraps up on Friday.
