A solid start to the season for the Northwest Snipers Girls Hockey team.
The regional team, with representation from Dryden, won their first tournament in Kenora.
They opened with a 3-0 win over the host tream Friday night and followed that up with a 5-0 win over Fort Frances on Saturday.
In their final contest, the Snipers tied Kenora 2-2, but won the overall title with their win Friday.
