The Dryden Eagles have opened a new High School Girls Hockey season with a victory.
The Eagles defeated the St. Thomas Aquinas Saints 1-0 Saturday in the first game of the Scott Clendenning Showcase Tournament in Fort Frances.
Jess Carter tipped-in a Payton Boyko slap shot with 16-seconds left in the third for the win.
Dryden plays Beaver Brae at 4:15 in their second game.
