Red Hot Miners Continue To Roll Along

The English River Miners spoiled the debut of the Norskies in Thief River Falls.

The Miners opened the game with four quick goals and cruised to a 7-4 win over the Norskies in their first ever game at the Ralph Engelstad Arena Friday night.

Ryder Prue led the balanced attack with a pair of goals, while Austin Kuhn, Morgan Scriber, Matt O’Neill, Dwayne Auger and Nash Dabb added singles.

Spencer Eschyschen improved to 7-0 with a 26-save effort.

The two teams are back at it Saturday night at 7:30.

The announced crowd for the home opener was 1,785.

The Miners have now won eight in a row and are one point back of Thunder Bay for first in the SIJHL.

The North Stars survived a 5-4 shootout win over visiting Fort Frances Friday.

The Lakers are back on the ice Saturday night against Dryden GM.

CKDR will have the call starting at 7:15.
