Regional Patients Left Out

The Society of Rural Physicians claims that Sunset Country residents are being treated as second class citizens.
The Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre has closed its doors to patients outside the City.
Society Spokesperson Dr. Peter Hutten-Sapski says Officials are citing a massive backlog for beds and a $30 million deficit.
However, he says that Hospital Officials have to recognize that residents in this Region deserve the same specialized treatment as folks in Thunder Bay.
Sapski says Hospital brass are being quite defensive and its time the Province steps in.
He adds money that could be spent in Ontario is going elsewhere.
