Twelve people have been arrested following a week-long investigation into human trafficking in Ontario.
46 police services across the province were involved including the OPP, Thunder Bay Police and Treaty Three Police Service.
The probe, dubbed Operation Northern Spotlight , was also part of an international operation led by the FBI and police agencies in Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Cambodia and Great Britain
The effort led to authorities ensuring the safety of six people in Ontario who had been working in the sex trade, including two under the age of 16.
