Regional Program Needs Your Vote

A regional self esteem and empowerment retreat for young women has made the semi-finals in the Aviva Community Fund Competition.
Voting starts on December 2nd and you can vote once a day.
Renee Martin-Brown is the Coordinator of “I Am Awesome! (And I Know It) and says they are trying to secure long-term funding to continue the program.
The retreat addresses a number of issues including peer pressure, positive body image, confidence building and bullying.
19-women participated in the first ever retreat last year, including three from Red Lake and one from Dryden.
The retreat provides confidence in young women aged 10 to 14.
