Regional Reaction to Health Teams

It could take up to a year to establish a Local Family Health Team.
Last week, the Province got the ball rolling by announcing Teams will
be set up in Dryden and Red Lake-Ear Falls.
Doctor Mark Whittaker says the Health Team is truly unique.
Whittaker says the Team is Community based, as the local group
decides the best way to improve the health care system.
He adds the initiative will allow them to bring other health
care professionals into the office to help patients.
Ken McGeorge is the CEO of the Margaret Cochenour Memorial Hospital
in Red Lake and says the public will notice a big difference.
