Some weather warnings to be aware of across the region.
Environment Canada has issued a Thunderstorm Watch for the Red Lake District.
A line of strong thunderstorms is expected to move into the area early this morning.
Heavy downpours and nickel size hail are the main threats.
Meantime, a Special Weather Statement is in effect in the Dryden-Ignace area.
Hot and humid conditions can be expected this afternoon and into the evening with highs reaching 29 and humidex values near 36.
Environment Canada says these conditions pose a health risk when you are not used to the heat and everyone is at risk, especially older adults, infants and young children, and people with chronic illnesses.
You are advised to drink plenty of cool liquids and keep cool by dressing for the weather and spending more time in a cool place.
