Ladies get ready, the 7th Annual Bearskin Classic ‘Skip to Equip’ is fast approaching in Sioux Lookout.
Curling teams of all skill levels are welcome to register for the charity Bonspiel.
Long-time participant Dawn Sauve says proceeds from the event will go towards the purchase of a C-arm for the operation room at the Meno Ya Win Health Centre.
Sauve says the very important piece of equipment will help reduce the number of medevac’s and reduce health care costs in the region.
She notes over the seven years, the Bonspiel has raised more than $380,000.
Sauve says it’s a fun event that brings the entire curling community for a weekend.
The deadline to register for the November 10th to 12th fundraiser is Wednesday.

The minimum pledge amount is $100 and pledge sheets can be picked up at Gillons’ Insurance on Front Street.
