Registration Fee Splitting Council

Snowmachine clubs across the District are calling for an end to the
trail permit system and are turning to Municipalities for support.
A resolution has been drafted asking Council’s to back a registration
fee for snowmachines, likely at a cost of $80.
The issue is expected to come to a vote at Dryden Council in the next
couple of weeks and council appears to be split on the issue.
Some aren’t convinced the registration fee will
work and believe more information and support is needed.
Mel Fisher says he will support the resolution noting something needs to
be done right away to help the struggling recreational activity.
