The Northwestern Health Unit wants to introduce a blind, low-vision
program in the Kenora-Rainy River District.
Spokesperson Debbie Cousineau says they are preparing a report
stating how many kids are in need of the program’s services.
Cousineau says the initiative will provide early intervention for
children who are blind or have poor vision.
Once the report is handed to the Province on May 31st, funding is
expected to be announced for the program shortly after.
