The fallout continues from the Remembrance Day service at the Kenora Legion.
The Legion has accepted the resignation of reverend Sandra Tankard after receiving some complaints.
Some at the ceremony spoke out after saying it was too political and overshadowed the actual importance of Remembrance Day.
President Jerry Lava says some people took the comments out of context and got blown out of proportion.
Lava wants cooler heads to prevail so both the Legion and Tankard can move forward with their work in the community.
Lava says the comments in question were a small fraction of an otherwise excellent service.
No departure date has been set.
