Reminder To Stop For School Buses

With all Ontario schools back in session Tuesday, comes a reminder to be extra attentive on the road.

The Northwestern Ontario Student Services Consortium stresses it’s illegal to fail to stop for a stopped school bus which has its overhead red signal lights flashing or stop sign out.

A first time offence carries a fine ranging from $400-$2,000, as well as six demerit points.

School bus drivers and witnesses are allowed to report violations
