Renwick Cup This Weekend

There’s a lot of mutual respect between the Kenora Triple A Thistles and the Brantford Blast Heading into the Renwick Cup Final.
Even though they have never played each other, neither team is taking the other lightly.
Thistles Captain Sean Hughes says from playing some of the other competition in the league, they have an idea of what they’re getting themselves into.
Thistles coach John Tressor says you really can’t beat the level of talent that will be featured and is hoping for a good turnout.
At the same time in Brantford, forward Jon Jankus says it’s all about building the right amount of adrenaline.
He says the excitement level is pretty high, but it’s important not to be over-confident looking at the championship.
The puck drops for the Renwick Cup finals Friday night at 7:00 inside the Thistles Arena.
Games 2 and 3 are scheduled for this weekend. The winner will advance to the Allan Cup in Red Deer, Alberta.
