It has been two years since the failure of the new Nipigon River Bridge and the Mayor of Nipigon is concerned taxpayers may still be on the hook for its repairs.
Reports indicate the cost has now gone from $8-million to $12-million.
Richard Harvey stresses it’s always a concern when costs escalate beyond what they were originally thought to be.
Harvey notes he continues to receive assurances from the province that “those responsible will pay”.
