They may be out of the water, but now they’re facing charges.
22-year-old Courtney Barkman and 18-year-old Darrell Bottle were rescued Wednesday evening from Wabigoon Lake, near the mill, by three Dryden Police officers who risked their lives jumping into the freezing waters.
All three officers and the couple were taken to hospital and monitored for hypothermia.
Police say the Barkman and Bottle are charged with failing to comply with conditions, stemming from an unrelated incident.
