The Coalition for a Healthy Dryden says results of a recent postcard campaign advocating smoke-free bylaws is proof the group has the public on its side.
The coalition recently presented Dryden City Council with thousands of postcards sent out to residents by the Northwestern Health Unit.
Coalition spokesperson Sue Wood says because the question on the postcard asked a very specific question about smoke-free bylaws, the results clearly indicate residents would support such action.
The return rate for the postcards was more than 20-percent.
Canada Post says similar mailings normally have a return rate of less than 12-percent.
