Resolute Defending Use Of Herbicide

Resolute Forest Products is firing back at critics who say the companies planned use of the herbicide VisionMax is harmful to blueberries.

A protest was held Wednesday in front of the Thunder Bay office of Natural Resources Minister Bill Mauro.

Resolute’s Seth Kursman says they aren’t alone in using the product, noting its used extensively in Ontario, B.C., and New Brunswick.

Kursman adds the use of the chemical is safe, claiming it can even be safer than other site preparation techniques.
