President Yves Laflamme has announced $5.4-million to upgrade their mills in Ignace and Atikokan.
He says that’s not the only investment.
Another $5.6-million will go towards modernizing a Resolute sawmill in Fort William First Nation.
Laflamme also announced $14.7-million to improve energy efficiency and reduce gas emissions at the Thunder Bay Pulp and Paper Mill and another $14.3-million to increase capacity and reduce costs.
He confirmed the funding Thursday alongside Premier Doug Ford.
