The Project Manager of the REsolve program says racism and
discrimination is becoming less of a problem in Sioux Lookout.
Don DeGenova says after a series of public consultations he has found
that the situation is improving but more work needs to be done.
He notes other things are taking over including homophobia and kids
judging others on social standing.
He says the next step is to develop a program that deals with
sensitivity training and conflict resolution tips.
The team hopes to produce a comprehensive solution guide that will be
available to other communities dealing with racism.
