A Restricted Fire Zone has been lifted across Northwestern Ontario.
The Ministry of Natural Resources says fire activity remains low and the weather is supporting firefighters.
Information Officer Carin Glassford says there are currently 114-active fires.
Glassford notes says if you add up the perimeter of roughly 50 of the large fires, it would add up to 5,000 kilometres, which is basically from Montreal to Vancouver.
She adds that the long term forecast suggests that smoke is not expected to be an issue over the next week.
