Despite rain in the immediate Dryden area, the Restricted Fire Zone imposed by the Ministry of Natural Resources remains in effect.
The southern areas of the region received rain but further north towards Red Lake little if any fell from Friday into Saturday.
The good news as far as the MNR is concerned, no lightening starts have been recorded.
The restricted zone will remain in place for virtually all of NWO until further notice.
That means NO open butning of any kind is permitted.
Only portable gas stoves or charcoal grilles, (if used within 100 meters of a permanent residence,) are allowed.
Restricted fire zone remains
