It appears Paul Martin has backed off on a threat not to implement the First Nations Governance Act.
Yeserday, the Liberal Leadership hopeful was quoted as saying he would not let the bill pass.
There were also hints that his supporters would block it and kill the work of Indian Affiars Minister Bob Nault.
Now, Martin says he would let the Legislation pass and use the 3 year implementation period to make changes.
The Kenora-Rainy River MP has been unavailable for comment.
