The Restricted Fire Zone across Northwestern Ontario has been lifted
thanks to the wet and cool weather.
The threat of forest fires has dropped to the point where many roads in
the Thunder Bay and Nipigon District have opened again.
The Ministry of Natural Resources says they are still dealing with
several lightning caused fires, so caution is urged with outdoor burning.
Some 120-firefighters from B.C. have arrived to help fight the late-season fires.
