NAN Forming Partnerships to Resolve Crisis

The Nishnawbe-Aski Nation is trying to form partnerships with outside
organizations to help NAN communities deal with a suicide crisis.
Chief Stan Beardy says young people need to be reassured that its ok
to ask for help.
341-aboriginal youth in NAN communities have taken their own lives in
the past 20 years.
Beardy blames poverty, substance abuse and a lack of infrastructure in
the Far North.
