RFZ Lifted in Some Parts of the North

The Restricted Fire Zone has been removed in some sections of
Northwestern Ontario.
The open burning ban has been lifted in the Far North, covering an area
north of Pickle Lake and Fort Hope.
The ban is still in effect in the Red Lake, Ear Falls, Dryden, Sioux
Lookout, Ignace, Fort Frances and Kenora Districts.
The Ministry of Natural Resources continues to battle over 60-active
fires, including the 2,500 hectare blaze southwest of Vermilion Bay.
Crews have made great progress on the fire thanks to some rain last
night.
