‘Right to Play’ Expanded

The Province is expanding its ‘Right to Play’ program.
The initiative is getting $1.5-million this year to expand programs into at least 30 First Nation communities in Northern Ontario.
Minister of Aboriginal Affairs Chris Bentley says the program offers sports activities to those who can’t afford it in Northern Ontario.
He notes communities will have to apply for the funding in order to take part in the program.
The Leadership program was initiated a couple of years ago in two first nation communities and was expanded to four first nations last year.
