Road to the West Study

Consultants continue to look at the possibility of building a road
to the West that would run South of Madsen and eventually link to Werner
Lake Road.
The system would reduce travel time between Red Lake and Winnipeg by
almost 2-hours.
Public forums have been held to discuss the positive and negative
Impacts, with a number of community members feeling it will lead to good
things for the community.
The Consultants study is expected to wrap up in June and a final report
will then be presented to Red Lake Council.
