Dryden Ice Dogs bench boss Kurt Walsten has come up just short in a bid to win his second straight Coach of the Year award.
This years honour goes to Rob DeGagne of the third place Thunder Bay North Stars.
In his first season behind the North Stars bench, DeGagne led Thunder Bay to a 38-13-4-1 record.
It was a 13-point improvement from the totals the club posted in 2016-2017.
DeGagne guided the team to a 22-3-1-1 run in the second half of the campaign.
Cole Workman of the Thief River Falls Norskies was also in the running.
