The Association of Municipalities of Ontario is taking a wait and see approach to the provincial budget.
President Lyn Dolan says it’s still light on the details.
Dolan would like to see government work closer with them.
She says municipalities are still pressing for a greater local share of the provincial tax dollars.
AMO is advocating for a one per cent hike in the sale tax and given to municipalities for infrastructure needs.
Dolan says working together, they can achieve better results and stretch tax dollars further.
