Roberta JOAN Morrison
April 5, 1943 – March 13, 2016
In loving memory of Roberta JOAN Morrison (nee Mercer), beloved daughter of Dr. Nelson Richardson Mercer and Roberta Margaret Mercer (nee Goodfellow), died Sunday, March 13 at the Dryden Hospital after a brief flare up of COPD. Joan was a courageous fighter to her last breath. Beloved by family and by many in her long time community of Vermilion Bay as well as far and wide, especially by the equestrian community. Sister, mother, teacher, skilled artisan, lover of horses and most but not all people. Dearly missed.
Survived by sons Derrick Davis Wilson, Saskatoon, and Collin Michael Wilson, Kanata, sister Joyce Manchulenko, Claresholme, AB, brothers Bob, Vancouver, John, Calgary and Harry, Vancouver, their spouses and children, and by stepmom Clara Mercer (nee Paulsen).
As per Joan’s wishes there will be no service. Interment of ashes will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a Charity of choice through the Dryden Community Funeral Home, 249 Grand Trunk Ave., Dryden, ON, P8N 2X3.
