Learning about programming and how to work with robots.
That’s what students across many grades did at St. John Catholic School in Red Lake with a coding and technology workshop.
Grade 7 student Maveric Aiken says his group battled robots where the machines had to try and push the others out of a circle.
Grade 4 student Bronwen McCann says her group programmed a robot to have a disco party where the machine provided lights, sing songs and spin.
Teacher Tiffany Dufesne says the goal is to get children more comfortable using innovative technology in a productive and safe away.
St. John School is in the process of creating a space where children will have the tools and space to use their creativity to build new things.
