Robotic And Programming Learning At St. John School

Learning about programming and how to work with robots.

That’s what students across many grades did at St. John Catholic School in Red Lake with a coding and technology workshop.

Grade 7 student Maveric Aiken says his group battled robots where the machines had to try and push the others out of a circle.

Grade 4 student Bronwen McCann says her group programmed a robot to have a disco party where the machine provided lights, sing songs and spin.

Teacher Tiffany Dufesne says the goal is to get children more comfortable using innovative technology in a productive and safe away.

St. John School is in the process of creating a space where children will have the tools and space to use their creativity to build new things.
