The fight against cancer continues this week at New Prospect School in Dryden.
Fun activities and events are being held to raise money for a new CT Scan Unit at the hospital.
The initiative is being called Rockin’ and “Wrol”in for Cancer.
The highlight will be Friday afternoon at 1:30, when 9-year-old Julia Wrolstad will have ten inches of her hair cut-off in support of the cause.
Julia and her mom Beth joined Vice-Principal Ryan Graham on the CKDR Morning Show Wednesday to promote the fundraising effort.
Beth Wrolstad says she’s incredibly proud of her daughter for being so courageous to cut her hair and raise money for such an important cause.
Graham says we live in a community where we are always being impacted by cancer in some way.
He says when someone so brave, like Julia, decides to do this, the school has to get behind her.
Julia says she has already collected $800.
