Room Needed For OAC Students

Growing concern within the Rainy River District School Board about students graduating from High School next spring.
Grade twelves will walk the podium with O-A-C students and Director of Education Warren Hoshizacki says many graduates may have to look elsewhere for their post-secondary education.
However, he notes this region has a slight advantage over other because of its close proximity to Thunder Bay and Manitoba.
Hoshizacki says there will be increased costs for students going farther away to study and there will be larger class sizes at Ontario Colleges and Universities.
He adds a provincial funding announcement of 40-million for institutions in Ontario will do little to help the influx.
