Now that she’s getting settled in, the Dryden Rotary Club’s latest exchange student is educating the club on her home country.
Lorena Bazanelli comes from Brazil and she made a presentation to Rotary members yesterday. (Wednesday, October 9th)
Bazanelli commented on the size of the local group, stressing it’s a lot larger than the Club in Brazil.
She says the first thing she noticed when she arrived to Canada was the colder temperatures, noting the Summer in Dryden is comparable to her Winter.
Bazanelli adds the way schools work in Canada is different from what she is used to.
She says her school doesn’t have lockers, they see multiple teachers and they don’t stay in class for the entire day.
